Salcon strengthens presence in China

Salcon Berhad marked the completion of its 100,000m3/day water treatment plant and 100,000m3/day raw water transfer project in Changle County, Shandong Province on 11 November 2011 (Friday).

 


The total investment for both projects is RMB 230 million and involves the construction of a new water treatment plant with a capacity of 100,000m³/d on a 110 mou site. The raw water scheme includes laying of new raw water and treated water pipelines totaling 38 km from the intake site at Goaya reservoir to the city centre.




With the successful completion of these two projects, Salcon is the sole integrated water and wastewater solutions provider in Changle ie supply and management of raw water resources, production and supply of treated water, provision of customer services, billing and collection as well as wastewater treatment services for the whole of Changle. The Group owns and operates a 40,000 m3/day wastewater treatment plant in Changle since 2005.



The opening ceremony was officiated by Mr Bala Chandran Tharman, Deputy Chief of Commission, Embassy of Malaysia and Party Secretary Zhang Xin Chiang, Party Secretary of Changle.















Salcon representatives, bankers and reporters from Malaysia were invited to attend the ceremony.
