The excited and fascinated faces of students with 11 years old occupied the Penchala River banks on Saturday morning as they were taught how to conduct water samplings and carry out checks on micro-organisms found in the river. They also learnt to appreciate its eco-system by carrying out a river clean-up at the end of the programme.
Mr Beh Yen Cheng, a teacher from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Puay Chai 2 said that, “The programme provides a very good opportunity for our students to have a hands-on experience of river water monitoring and to distinguish the various micro-organisms that exists throughout this riverbank”.

Children and teachers had a great time in the colouring session. Their artwork was made into a button badge as a souvenir for them.
