Salcon Train the Trainers Programme for River & Water Educational Programme

28 teachers from 7 primary schools in Selangor participated in the Salcon Train the Trainers Programme (Salcon ToT Programme) to learn how to conduct the award-winning Salcon River & Water Awareness Educational Programme at Lembah Kiara, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI).

The inaugural Salcon ToT Programme is an extension of the Salcon River & Water Educational Programme which is organized by Salcon Berhad in collaboration with non-governmental organisation Water Watch Penang (WWP) with the objective of increasing awareness and education of the importance of river and water amongst youths in Klang Valley via hands-on experience of river water monitoring.

The Salcon ToT programme aims to guide and train selected teachers from primary schools in the Klang Valley to conduct their own river and water educational programme. The seven schools which joined this sustainable effort are SK TTDI 2, SK Seksyen 9, SK Damansara Damai 1, SJKC Ladang Harcroft, SJKC Chen Moh, SJKT Puchong and SJKT Batu Caves. The teachers/trainers learnt about physical, chemical and biological water assessment.
